Brian & Tye's Relationship Timeline
August 11, 2012: After flirting online for several weeks, Brian and Tye meet at the Blueprint cocktail bar in Park Slope, Brooklyn for their first date. Five drinks and several smooches into the evening, both know there will be a second date.
August 24, 2012: On their fourth date, Brian invites Tye to join him in Paris for Thanksgiving. Tye says it's the craziest idea he's ever heard. Four weeks later, Tye books his plane ticket.
October 29, 2012: Hurricane Sandy touches down in New York City. The storm lasts for one night, but Tye seeks shelter in Brian's apartment for 14 days straight.
November 17, 2012: BriTye takes Paris! Before leaving their flat to see Rihanna's 777 Tour on the third night of their 10-day trip, Tye drops the "L" word for the first time. Brian tears up and says he loves Tye too. Three hours later, they dance to "We Found Love" at Club Trianon.
February 2, 2013: Brian takes Tye to his first opera, appropriately titled 'L'elisir D'amore' ('The Elixir of Love').
February 14, 2013: Brian presents Tye with a letter adorned with Valentine's Day hearts. Inside the hearts are keys to Brian's apartment. Tye proceeds to make himself at home.
June 9, 2013: Tye takes Brian to Governors Ball, his first music festival. Brian braves the knee-deep mud and sees his first of many Kanye West shows.
August 31, 2013: The lease on Tye's apartment runs out. To celebrate, he moves in with Brian. Chez BriTye is born!
November 2, 2013: Tye travels to Philadelphia to hang with Brian's family for the first time. They love him!
April 23,2014: Tye invites Brian to drinks at Blueprint. They sit at the same table where they had their first date. As Brian sips his second Negroni, Tye drops to his knee and pops the question. Brian says yes ... and counter-proposes days later at Flatbush Farm, the site of their second date. Champagne for everyone!
November 25, 2014: Brian spends Thanksgiving with Tye's family in Charlotte, NC. He survives!
January 8, 2015: Tye and Brian pack up their things and move into their Victorian palace on 7th street in Park Slope.
September 19, 2015: Brian and Tye are married at the Louis K. Meisel gallery in Soho in front of 75 of their nearest and dearest. The reception is held down the street at City Winery.
